Job Details: Job Location: PA, MD, FL Division (Legal Address) - Smock, PA, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Position: Business Analyst – Applied AI & Automation Manager: Craig Novak, VP of Information Technology, Smock, PA Status: Full Time; Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates located near COE’s corporate distribution center in Uniontown (Smock), PA.   Overview: The Business Analyst – Applied AI & Automation will help drive the adoption of AI and automation across COE by partnering with departments to turn business needs and ideas into practical solutions. This role combines business analysis, low-code/no-code development, project coordination, and testing, with a strong focus on delivering measurable business value.   This individual will work directly with departments to understand their goals, evaluate and prioritize opportunities, and build solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services, and similar technologies. For larger development initiatives, the Business Analyst will work closely with COE's Software Developer and Application Integration Engineer to define requirements, coordinate testing and user acceptance, support implementation, and manage feedback and issues after go-live.   This role will also help champion AI and automation throughout COE by demonstrating new capabilities, sharing successful solutions, and helping employees understand how these technologies can improve their day-to-day work.   Responsibilities: Partner with departments across the organization to understand and advance their AI and automation goals, identify opportunities, and translate business needs into practical technology solutions. Evaluate and prioritize AI and automation opportunities based on business value, potential time savings, process improvement, user impact, and implementation effort. Design, build, and implement low-code/no-code automation and AI-enabled solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services, and similar technologies. Leverage existing AI models and services within business workflows to automate tasks, improve processes, and enhance employee productivity. Rapidly prototype solutions, gather feedback from users, and refine solutions based on real-world use and business needs. Work closely with COE's Software Developer and Application Integration Engineer on larger technology initiatives by gathering requirements, defining desired outcomes, and coordinating between business users and technical resources. Coordinate testing and user acceptance for new applications, integrations, and enhancements to ensure solutions meet business requirements before implementation. Support solutions after go-live by gathering user feedback, validating and managing reported issues, coordinating defects and enhancements with the appropriate technical resources, and confirming successful resolution. Own and support low-code/no-code solutions developed within the role, including troubleshooting, maintenance, user support, and continuous improvement. Coordinate projects from initial idea through implementation, keeping stakeholders aligned and helping ensure initiatives continue moving toward completion. Create concise, practical documentation such as requirements, business rules, SOPs, wiki articles, and end-user instructions. Champion the adoption of AI and automation throughout COE by demonstrating new capabilities, sharing successful solutions, and helping employees understand practical ways these technologies can improve their work. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 2+ years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, process improvement, business systems, automation, low-code/no-code development, or a related area. Hands-on experience building automation, low-code/no-code, or AI-enabled business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, or similar technologies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with employees and leaders across different business functions. Ability to understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate business needs into practical technology solutions. Ability to understand and work with business data to support solution design and decision-making. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate potential solutions based on business value, effort, and impact. Demonstrated ability to take ownership of initiatives and independently move projects from idea through implementation and adoption. Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, stakeholders, priorities, and follow-up activities.   Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services, or related Microsoft technologies. Experience working directly with business users to implement process improvements, automation, or technology solutions. Experience coordinating testing and user acceptance for software, automation, or business systems projects. Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and data concepts sufficient to collaborate effectively with software developers and integration engineers.
