This is a remote position. Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain applications on the Salesforce platform. The role involves working on Apex, Lightning components, integrations, and configurations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Salesforce Development Develop and customize solutions using: Apex (classes, triggers) Lightning Web Components (LWC) / Aura Configure: Objects, fields, validation rules Workflows and Flows Build reusable and efficient components
- Requirement Analysis Work with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements Translate functional requirements into technical solutions Participate in solution design discussions
- Integration Development Develop integrations using: REST / SOAP APIs Work with external systems and middleware Handle data migration and synchronization
- Testing & Debugging Write unit tests for Apex code and ensure minimum 85% test coverage Debug issues and fix defects, Support system and UAT testing
- Code Quality & Best Practices Follow Salesforce best practices: Bulkification Governor limits handling Maintain clean and maintainable code Participate in code reviews
- Deployment & Version Control Use tools like: Git (version control), Copado, Jira Salesforce DX (SFDX) Support deployments using: Change Sets / CI-CD pipelines Manage different environments (Dev, QA, Prod)
- Collaboration Work in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban) Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and Product teams Participate in sprint ceremonies
KPIs / Success Metrics Code quality and adherence to standards Test coverage and defect rate Timely delivery of user stories Ability to handle production issues Role Progression Next Level: Senior Salesforce Developer Future Path: Lead Developer → Architect
Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Hands-on experience in: Apex, SOQL, SOSL Lightning Web Components (LWC) Knowledge of: Salesforce data model, Security (Profiles, Roles, Sharing Rules) Experience with: APIs and integrations, Debugging tools and logs Tools & Technologies Salesforce DX (SFDX) Git (GitHub / Bitbucket / GitLab) CI/CD tools (basic knowledge preferred) Copado Postman (API testing) Certifications (Preferred) Salesforce Platform Developer I Salesforce Administrator Experience Requirements 2–4+ years of Salesforce development experience Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication skills Ability to learn and adapt quickly Team player with proactive attitude
