Core Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, maintain, and debug multi-tier client/server applications using the Gupta Team Developer environment.
- System Maintenance: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects in existing legacy systems to ensure operational stability.
- Database Management: Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for relational backend databases.
- Modernization & Migrations: Assist in upgrading older Centura/Gupta software versions to modern, supported releases.
- Reporting: Create and modify data-heavy business documents and layouts using Gupta ReportBuilder.
- Collaboration: Partner with business analysts and QA teams to translate user requirements into functional software updates.
Responsibilities
Required Technical Skills
- Primary Platform: Strong proficiency with Gupta Team Developer / Centura SQLWindows.
- Programming Concepts: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and relational database design.
- Databases: Practical experience working with relational database systems such as SQLBase, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase.
- Data Integration: Basic understanding of integrating applications with external data sources using XML, JSON, or web services.
- Version Control: Experience using source code management systems to track and control software changes.

- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development using Gupta/Centura tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
