Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Location: Remote, with travel as required Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 - complemented by a generous total rewards and benefit package.

NEHA’s headquarters are in Denver, Colorado. This position has the benefit of being a remote position for people residing in the lower 48. Applicants must be self-starters, take pride and ownership of their work, thrive in a home office environment, and enjoy working both autonomously and with a team. Employees are expected to adjust their work schedule to accommodate members and partners outside their immediate time zone.
Position Overview
This position is 40 hours per week reporting to the CEO. The Executive Assistant is responsible for working directly with the CEO, and intermittently with the Board President, and is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties. Intermittent work on nights and weekends may be required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Acts as the point of contact between the CEO and internal/external clients
- Coordinates Board of Director functions
- Coordinates executive communications, including responding to emails as appropriate
- Drafts letters and other organizational documents
- Schedules meetings and appointments and manages travel itineraries
- Maintains an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents
- Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Upholds a strict level of confidentiality
- Develops and sustains a level of professionalism among staff, Board of Directors and partners
- Contributes by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED,
- Bachelor’s degree - preferred,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time-management skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Organization skills
- Ability to multitask
- Basic understanding of frequently used computer software and programs, such as Microsoft Office and AI programs like Claude
- Interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs. or less
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment
- Ability to read required reports and computer screen
- Hearing required to interact with management and associates

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000, dependent on education, credentials, and experience.
