IT Business Analyst - Payments / Banking

Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.

Work closely with business users, technology teams, developers, and QA teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

Use SQL for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and investigation of business requirements/issues.

Leverage AI tools to improve requirement analysis, documentation, data analysis, process optimization, and BA productivity.

Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.

Support UAT, functional testing, defect analysis, and production issue investigation.

Work with technical teams to understand APIs, data flows, integrations, and system dependencies.

Perform data validation and ensure solutions meet business and functional requirements.

Coordinate with multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain clear documentation of requirements, processes, changes, and decisions.

Strong experience as an IT / Technical Business Analyst.

Proficiency in SQL – ability to write queries and perform data analysis/validation.
-
Hands-on experience using AI tools for analysis, documentation, productivity, or business problem-solving.

Basic understanding of banking and financial services.

Knowledge of Debit/Credit transactions and Payments.

Good understanding of business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and UAT.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
Good to Have
- Exposure to Intraday Liquidity (IDL) or liquidity management.
- Experience in banking payment systems.
- Knowledge of SWIFT / ISO 20022 / payment messages.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Postman, or similar BA/project tools.
