Lead Brand Designer (Digital)
cloaked · 22 days ago
Cloaked is a consumer privacy and identity platform on a mission to give people back control of their personal data. We let anyone generate unlimited identities - masked emails, phone numbers, and payment cards - scrub their information off data-broker sites, and shield themselves from spam, scams, and breaches, all from one app. Backed by a $375M Series B, we've protected 10M+ identities and removed 1B+ records from the data brokers who profit off personal information. Now we're building the AI-native future of privacy: autonomous agents that monitor, manage, and defend your digital footprint for you.
About the role
We’re looking for a Lead Brand Designer to own brand and visual design for Digital Executive Protection, Cloaked’s concierge-led offering for executives, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices. It combines Cloaked’s privacy technology with dedicated, personalized guidance to help clients and their families reduce personal data exposure and use protective tools with confidence.
You’ll shape how this offering looks, feels, and tells its story within the established Cloaked brand. From marketing campaigns and animation to product walkthroughs and concierge-guided experiences, your work will make complex technology clear and build trust with an audience that expects care and discretion.
This is a hands-on creative ownership role. You’ll set the design direction and personally take work from concept and storyboard through finished assets, working closely with the offering lead, marketing, product, and concierge partners.
This is a four-to-six-month contract engagement with the intent to convert to full-time for the right fit.
What will you do?
Build the visual system
-
Develop and steward a coherent visual language across typography, color, imagery, layout, and motion. Make it feel premium and considered, with restraint over flash.
-
Maintain practical guidelines, templates, and reusable assets that help the team carry the brand consistently.
Bring the story to life
-
Personally create storyboards, animations, and visual narratives that explain privacy technology and show why it matters.
-
Design campaign, web, sales, and partner materials that introduce the offering and give prospective clients a clear next step.
Design the client experience
-
Create presentations, screen recordings, and animated walkthroughs that help clients follow concierge guidance and understand what to do next.
-
Design product-interface concepts and prototypes for onboarding and guided experiences, collaborating with product and engineering on clarity and implementation quality.
-
Carry the same care into printed briefs, dossiers, and other client materials, connecting physical and digital touchpoints.
Own direction through delivery
-
Work with the offering lead to agree priorities, explain design decisions, and turn an open brief into polished work.
-
Own production quality, organized editable files, and clear handoffs. Incorporate feedback from the people who use and deliver the experience.
What skills and experiences will help you?
-
A portfolio of brand systems you’ve built or substantially shaped, with clear examples of your personal contribution.
-
Strong hands-on animation and storytelling skills, from concept and pacing to finished motion.
-
Excellent typography, composition, and visual judgment across marketing and client-facing experiences.
-
Fluency in Figma, including presentations, interface concepts, and prototypes.
-
Print production knowledge and the ability to prepare polished, usable deliverables.
-
Experience independently directing and delivering design work, with strong communication and sound judgment.
What's nice to have?
-
Work with luxury, private banking, hospitality, or other audiences who expect a high level of personal service.
-
Experience developing an offering’s identity within an established parent brand.
-
Exposure to privacy, security, or identity products, or experience making complex technology understandable.
-
Specialty print or packaging experience, and comfort working in a startup environment.
What do we like?
-
Self-starters who take ownership and move work forward without waiting for detailed art direction.
-
Restraint, thoughtful craft, and genuine care for the details.
-
A pragmatic bias toward shipping, learning, and improving.
-
Clear communicators who welcome feedback and explain the thinking behind the work.
-
Discretion and empathy. You understand that trust is built through consistent, considered experiences.
