POSITION OVERVIEW

Lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, high-quality iOS and Android banking applications. Drive the mobile engineering strategy, provide technical leadership across React Native and native mobile platforms, establish development standards, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver exceptional digital banking experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the architecture, design, and development of React Native and native mobile applications for iOS and Android.

Define and enforce mobile engineering standards, coding best practices, security guidelines, and application architecture.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews for mobile development teams.

Collaborate with product, UX, backend, QA, security, DevSecOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable mobile solutions.

Drive API integration, authentication, secure storage, biometrics, deep linking, push notifications, analytics, and third-party SDK integrations.

Ensure mobile applications meet accessibility, performance, reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Lead release planning, CI/CD implementation, App Store and Google Play deployments, production monitoring, and incident resolution.

Evaluate emerging mobile technologies and recommend improvements to architecture, tooling, and engineering practices.

Support estimation, technical planning, risk management, and Agile delivery across multiple mobile initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of experience in mobile application development, including 3+ years leading mobile engineering teams.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong experience delivering enterprise-scale mobile applications in Agile, cross-functional, and globally distributed environments.

Demonstrated experience leading technical architecture, solution design, engineering governance, and mobile delivery across multiple products.

Hands-on experience using enterprise-approved generative AI or coding assistants across the SDLC, with human review, secure prompt/data handling, traceability, and validation of AI-generated outputs.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

React Native, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, and native iOS/Android application development.

Mobile architecture patterns including MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture, and modular application design.

REST APIs, GraphQL, OAuth/OIDC, JWT, secure storage, biometrics, push notifications, deep linking, and mobile security best practices.

Jest, React Native Testing Library, XCTest, Espresso, mobile debugging, performance optimization, accessibility, and automated testing.

Azure DevOps, Git, mobile CI/CD pipelines, code signing, provisioning, App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and release management.

Experience integrating device capabilities including camera, location services, biometrics, secure storage, wallet integration, NFC, Bluetooth, and analytics platforms.

Experience designing highly available mobile applications for low-bandwidth, high-latency, and globally distributed environments.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Mobile banking, financial services, or other regulated industry applications.

Experience leading enterprise mobile modernization and migration initiatives.

Native iOS and Android performance optimization and troubleshooting.

Experience managing multiple mobile teams and coordinating large-scale mobile releases.

Knowledge of mobile application security standards including OWASP Mobile Security Guidelines.
