We are seeking a highly motivated Oracle HCM Cloud Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of Oracle HCM Cloud implementation projects. This role serves as the primary functional architecture lead for assigned engagements, partnering closely with client stakeholders, project managers, consultants, and technical teams to ensure successful solution design and deployment.
The Solution Architect is responsible for translating business requirements into scalable Oracle HCM Cloud solutions, guiding configuration strategy, facilitating workshops, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and system capabilities. This role is focused on project delivery and solution execution, helping clients realize value through well-designed implementations and business process transformation.
As a trusted functional advisor, you will lead solution design decisions, mentor consultants, and help clients adopt leading practices while balancing business requirements, project constraints, and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design

Lead functional solution architecture for Oracle HCM Cloud implementation projects.

Facilitate requirements gathering, discovery workshops, and business process design sessions.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Oracle HCM Cloud solutions.

Develop solution designs that align with business objectives, Oracle best practices, and project scope.

Serve as the primary escalation point for functional design questions and architectural decisions.

Assess impacts across modules and ensure cohesive end-to-end solution design.

Partner with technical teams to support integrations, reporting, and data conversion requirements.
Implementation Leadership
-
Lead functional workstreams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Guide consultants and client teams through design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.

Conduct solution walkthroughs, design reviews, and stakeholder decision-making sessions.

Collaborate with Project Managers to identify risks, manage dependencies, and support successful project execution.

Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with approved solution designs.

Support organizational change by helping stakeholders understand solution impacts and design decisions.
Testing & Deployment
-
Define and oversee testing strategy for assigned functional workstreams.

Review test scenarios, scripts, and results to validate business requirements are met.

Support all testing events and deployment readiness activities.

Partner with client teams to resolve defects and ensure solution quality prior to go-live.

Support production deployment and post-go-live stabilization activities.
Team Collaboration & Development

Mentor consultants and analysts on solution design, requirements management, and Oracle HCM leading practices.

Promote consistency in delivery standards and documentation quality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Share implementation lessons learned and best practices across the practice.
Presales Support
-
Support sales and business development activities as a subject matter expert.
-
Contribute to discovery sessions, solution discussions, and proposal development.

Participate in client demonstrations and solution presentations as needed.

Provide delivery-focused input related to scope, assumptions, and implementation approach.
Strategic Advisory & Client Growth

Serve as the senior advisor to client executives and HR leadership, guiding decisions on solution direction, phasing, scope, and organizational readiness.

Partner with ArcLight sales and account leadership on pursuits: lead solution discovery, shape the proposed approach, and act as the technical authority in client conversations.

Lead client-facing product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs, translating Oracle HCM Cloud capability into the client's business language and outcomes.

Contribute to proposals, estimates, and statements of work, ensuring what we sell is what we can deliver well.

Represent ArcLight as a subject-matter expert in industry forums, client briefings, and thought leadership content.

Advise internal leadership on delivery risk, solution standards, and where the practice should invest as Oracle's HCM roadmap evolves.
Qualifications:
Required
-
6+ years of Oracle HCM Cloud implementation experience, with functional expertise across multiple modules.

Proven experience leading functional design, configuration, and testing for large-scale HCM implementations.

Strong understanding of broad HR business processes.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into functional solutions.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Ability to work independently and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communication or related field
-
Experience with global, multi-country, or complex enterprise HCM deployments.

Experience mentoring junior consultants or leading teams.
-
Experience in executing implementation strategy, capturing customer and systems requirements, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing practical business solutions

Demonstrated ability to influence executive decision-making and build credibility as a trusted advisor beyond a single project.

Ability to work with the functional and technical team members to accurately document requirements, create functional design strategies, and facilitate testing for technical integration
Preferred
-
Oracle HCM Cloud functional certifications across multiple modules.
-
Track record of elevating other consultants through mentorship, solution review, and setting delivery standards.

Experience in a client-facing advisory or presales capacity, including leading solution demonstrations and supporting pursuits alongside a sales team.

Familiarity with cross-module dependencies and upstream/downstream impacts.
-
Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
Work Environment & Travel

Remote-first position for U.S.-based candidates

Ability to travel within the United States up to 25% for client on-site needs
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation will vary depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.

The estimated base salary range for this position is USD $150,000 - $175,000
-
Annual incentive compensation potential of up to 20%, paid in quarterly installments.

The total estimated compensation range for this position is USD $180,000 - $210,000
