We are seeking a hands-on Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and scale advanced cloud-native security platforms that protect enterprise digital environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on highly distributed systems, identity technologies, and emerging AI security solutions. You will take ownership of critical production services while contributing to architecture, implementation, and long-term technical direction. Accountabilities: As a Principal Software Engineer, you will lead the development of secure, scalable, and highly available software solutions while contributing to technical strategy and engineering excellence. You will work across distributed systems, identity platforms, and AI security initiatives to deliver impactful products. Design, develop, and maintain core cloud-native services using Go and modern software engineering practices. Build and enhance privileged access management capabilities, including just-in-time access, credential-less authentication, and Zero Trust security solutions. Develop AI security capabilities such as AI agent identity management, governance frameworks, MCP gateways, and real-time protection mechanisms. Create highly available, multi-region distributed systems running on Kubernetes with scalable data architectures. Own solutions throughout the entire lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to deployment and production operations. Build secure integrations with identity and access protocols including OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and certificate-based authentication. Develop secure proxy and gateway solutions for enterprise resources such as SSH, RDP, Kubernetes, databases, and web applications. Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to improve engineering standards. Mentor and support engineers by sharing technical expertise and promoting best practices. Influence cross-team technical decisions while remaining actively involved in hands-on development. Continuously improve system security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with deep expertise in security, identity platforms, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies. 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. 4+ years of experience working at Principal or Staff Engineer level on large-scale security, identity, or enterprise software products. Strong experience designing, building, and operating production systems as an individual contributor. Deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) concepts, including least privilege, secrets management, session brokering, and Zero Trust architectures. Hands-on experience with identity protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, PKI, SAML, and SCIM. Expert-level proficiency in Go or strong experience with systems programming languages and willingness to work with Go. Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and distributed architectures. Experience working with distributed databases such as Cassandra or similar NoSQL technologies. Familiarity with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal is a plus. Experience building or securing AI-powered systems, including LLM applications, agent frameworks, MCP, threat detection, or AI guardrails is highly valued. Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to influence engineering decisions through collaboration and expertise. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
