RCM Associate (Charge Posting)

About Amperos
Amperos is healthcare's first AI-native denial management and revenue recovery platform. Our agentic AI works claims end-to-end, from portal follow-ups and payor calls to appeals and medical records, so providers can resolve more denials, recover more revenue, and focus on what matters most: serving patients.
We just closed a $16M Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with continued participation from Uncork Capital and Neo. We're still small, still early, and going after a $260B+ problem that's only getting worse. If you want to work on hard problems that matter, alongside people who care deeply about the mission (and each other), we'd love to meet you.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Charge Posting or Payment Posting Specialist with 2+ years of experience in RCM to join our team. You'll work at the intersection of traditional claim submission or payment posting workflows and cutting-edge AI, helping our customers submit claims accurately and efficiently while ensuring our automation systems perform at the highest standard.
You'll be responsible for entering charges, verifying claim accuracy, managing charge submissions to insurance companies, and tracking claims through posting and adjudication. As our product and customer base evolve, your responsibilities may shift to align with near-term priorities—this is a role with meaningful ownership and room to grow.

Charge Posting:
-
Post and manage charges accurately
-
Enter charges and claims into customer PM systems and Amperos platforms using clinical documentation
-
Verify coding accuracy, modifiers, and medical necessity before claim submission
-
Research bundling rules, frequency limitations, and other clinical editing logic to prevent denials
-
Identify and escalate claim errors (incorrect coding, unbundled charges, missing documentation) before submission
-
Track charge submission status and manage claim resubmissions when needed
-
Maintain organized documentation of all charge-related activity
Payment Posting:
-
Post payments, adjustments, and denials from ERAs, EOBs, and lockbox files into customer PM systems and Amperos platforms
-
Balance daily batches, reconcile to bank deposits, and resolve missing or mismatched ERAs
-
Flag underpayments and denials
-
Resolve unapplied cash, credit balances, refunds, and recoupments, and transfer balances
What we're looking for
-
At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, charge entry, or coding verification
-
Strong working knowledge of medical coding
-
Experience with leading PM systems, including eCW, ModMed, Athenahealth, and more
-
Solid understanding of insurance claim submission requirements and pre-authorization processes
-
Ability to identify coding errors and clinical editing issues before claim submission
-
Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable in documentation and follow-through
-
Ability to work US hours (9am–6pm ET) to collaborate with our team and customers
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes and priorities can change
Perks & Benefits
-
Competitive compensation with eligibility for a bonus on anniversary date
-
Paid sick days and vacation days
-

-
Opportunity to grow with a rapidly scaling company and be an early member of a global billing team, as we expand our billing team in India
