POSITION SUMMARY

Sprezzatura is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support requirements and business process analysis for the modernization of the VA’s Budget Tracking Tool.

This is a hands-on position responsible for working directly with VA stakeholders, business subject matter experts, and technical teams to analyze business needs and translate complex financial, operational, and data requirements into clear, implementation-ready requirements.

The Senior Business Analyst will support requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, from discovery and elaboration through configuration, testing, UAT, and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, process walkthroughs, and backlog refinement sessions with VA stakeholders and delivery teams
Elicit, analyze, document, and maintain business and system requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows, and data requirements
Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and translate business needs into actionable requirements for OneStream configuration and implementation
Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify complex financial, operational, workflow, and data requirements
Support integration requirements, including business/data rules, mappings, reconciliation, interface behavior, and exception handling
Ensure assigned requirements are complete, traceable, prioritized, and sufficiently mature to support planned sprints and releases
Identify requirements gaps, conflicting business rules, dependencies, and outstanding stakeholder decisions and work with the Lead Business Analyst and appropriate stakeholders to resolve them
Partner with OneStream, integration, and testing resources throughout implementation, testing, UAT, and stakeholder validation
Support defect analysis and requirements clarification during testing and implementation
Maintain requirements and supporting documentation in Jira, Confluence, and applicable program repositories

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
8+ years of business analysis, requirements management, or business process analysis experience supporting complex IT implementations
Demonstrated experience serving as a Senior Business Analyst or performing comparable senior-level requirements responsibilities
Knowledge of Federal PPBE, budget formulation/execution, financial management, acquisition, or IT portfolio processes
Strong experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability
Experience facilitating requirements sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams
Experience supporting requirements and backlog development in an Agile delivery environment
Strong analytical, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Experience with ERP/EPM, financial management, or other configurable enterprise platforms
Experience developing requirements for system integrations, APIs, data mapping, reconciliation, and data-quality controls
Experience with Jira and Confluence
VA or other Federal Government experience
Ability to meet applicable VA background investigation/security requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.

PAY RANGE

The base salary range for this position is $112,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on geographic work location, relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, security clearance, and contract requirements. Geographic salary ranges are determined in accordance with the company's compensation practices and represent a good-faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting.
