About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Data Platform Engineer to join a high-impact SME Fraud Data Warehouse (DWH) programme. This is a pivotal role where you will design, build, migrate, and optimise a large-scale analytical platform on Teradata Vantage as a Service (VaaS) with an AWS-based data lake. You will work alongside a talented cross-functional team to deliver a robust fraud analytics platform that drives real business outcomes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

•       Design and architect analytical data solutions on Teradata VaaS and AWS

•       Build, migrate, and optimise large-scale data pipelines and data warehouse structures

•       Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and fraud SMEs to translate business requirements into technical solutions

•       Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across the platform

•       Contribute to best practices in data modelling, pipeline development, and platform governance

Required Skills & Experience

•       Strong hands-on experience with Teradata Vantage as a Service (VaaS)

•       Proven expertise in AWS-based data lake architectures — including S3, Glue, Redshift, and Athena

•       Experience designing and building large-scale analytical platforms

•       Solid understanding of data migration strategies and best practices

•       Strong SQL and data modelling skills

Nice to Have

•       Exposure to fraud domain data and SME fraud analytics

•       Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks

•       Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC) on AWS
