Must-Have Skills: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Production, Industrial, or related engineering discipline; Mechanical or Civil background preferred. 1–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, drafting, production design, or a similar role involving extensive use of AutoCAD. Strong working proficiency in AutoCAD, including preparation, modification, and review of accurate 2D drawings, layouts, and production design outputs. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer sketches, dimensions, layouts, production notes, and design specifications. Good understanding of basic mechanical design concepts, drafting standards, geometry, measurements, scales, tolerances, and dimensional accuracy. Strong mathematical ability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy in design deliverables. Ability to identify missing, unclear, or conflicting design inputs and seek clarification before proceeding with drawing preparation. Effective written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to coordinate with internal teams, reviewers, supervisors, and stakeholders. Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple assignments, meet productivity expectations, and work under pressure during peak business periods. Self-motivated learner with a willingness to follow standard operating procedures, accept feedback, and continuously improve technical and process knowledge. Flexibility to work in evening/night shifts, extended hours, or Saturdays, as required by business needs and company policy. Good-to-Have Skills: AutoCAD certification or any relevant CAD/design certification from a recognized institute. Exposure to mechanical design software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, Creo, or similar 3D CAD tools. Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for documentation, reporting, and basic task tracking. Prior experience in swimming pool design, liner design, safety cover design, steel panel design, or any related architectural/mechanical production design process. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication drawings, sheet metal design, assemblies, or product development workflows. Experience working with international customers, offshore delivery teams, or global production design processes. Familiarity with quality checklists, drawing review processes, revision controls, CAD standards, and productivity tracking systems. Ability to suggest process improvements, standardization opportunities, automation ideas, or productivity enhancements within the design workflow. Basic knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, quality management, or continuous improvement practices is an added advantage.Professionals in this group understand, build & standardize the reporting delivery process.
