Senior Manager, Onboarding & Growth
talkiatry · 2 hours ago
Talkiatry is growing fast, and the systems that bring new clinicians into the practice have to grow with us**.** Our Clinical Operations team owns the operating model that helps each clinician move from hire to day-one readiness, build a sustainable caseload, and succeed through the early ramp period.
As Senior Manager, Clinician Onboarding and Success, you'll lead the day-to-day operations and ongoing redesign of that journey. You'll improve how we predict readiness and performance, identify risk early, coordinate targeted interventions, and build repeatable mechanisms that ensure clinicians are successful.
The role connects clinician supply, patient demand, and operational execution. You'll partner across Clinical, Operations, Data, Product, Engineering, Talent Acquisition, and Marketing to remove blockers before they affect a clinician's performance and to recover performance quickly when a clinician falls off track.
This is a hands-on role for an analytical operator who knows how to improve workflows with data, AI, automation, and practical tooling. You do not need to be an engineer. You do need to translate operational problems into clear requirements, build and test lightweight solutions, and work with technical partners when deeper product or data capabilities are required.
Please note: This is a hybrid role, our offices are located in New York City
About Talkiatry:
Talkiatry is transforming mental health care by making high-quality psychiatry more accessible, human, and sustainable for both patients and clinicians. Co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist, we were built to solve one of healthcare’s most urgent challenges: millions of people struggle to access mental health care, while clinicians face growing administrative burden and burnout. Through our technology-powered, in-network platform, we’re changing that, creating a better experience for patients and empowering clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care.
Today, Talkiatry is the largest dedicated psychiatry practice in the U.S., with 750+ psychiatrists, 250+ therapists, and more than two million patient visits delivered nationwide. At our scale, every innovation has real impact. Every workflow we improve, every technology solution we build, and every patient experience we redesign helps thousands of clinicians provide better care to hundreds of thousands of patients. We’re not just growing quickly — we’re redefining how behavioral healthcare is delivered in America.
Joining Talkiatry means joining a mission-driven team that is solving complex problems at scale, driving meaningful change in healthcare, and building the future of mental health care with compassion, innovation, and purpose.
You will:
-
Own end-to-end operations. Run the day-to-day workflows. Maintain clear operating rhythms, service levels, ownership, and escalation paths so all stakeholders know what needs to happen and when.
-
Predict and monitor success metrics. Improve the dashboards, signals, and decision tools that predict program success. Monitor leading indicators, identify risks early, and turn the data into specific actions for cross-functional teams
-
Activate proactive levers. Address the market conditions that shape success. Use insights about clinician supply and patient demand to inform hiring strategies, targeted marketing, capacity planning, and other actions that remove blockers before they affect success metrics.
-
Trigger real time interventions. Use Operations and Product levers to improve performance as risks emerge. Build practical playbooks, decision rules, and escalation paths so teams can intervene quickly and consistently without waiting for leadership direction, then feed what works back into the standard process.
-
Redesign the end-to-end operating model. Move program support from a manual, people-dependent process to a technology-enabled workflow. Apply AI, automation, and better tooling to reduce repetitive work, handoffs, errors, and resource needs while preserving human judgment where it matters.
You have:
-
Quantitative and rigorous. You're fluent with metrics, dashboards, and spreadsheets. You can define meaningful leading and lagging indicators, find the drivers behind performance, and turn analysis into clear operating decisions. SQL experience required.
-
Builder-operator. You bring 4-6+ years of experience in operations, consulting, program management, implementation, or a related field. You're comfortable owning daily execution while building the systems, routines, and tools that make the work more scalable.
-
Workflow optimizer. You can map an end-to-end process, diagnose where it breaks, and redesign it around clearer decisions, fewer handoffs, and reliable data. You measure whether the new workflow improves outcomes and adjust it when it does not.
-
Practical automation and AI fluency. You can use AI and no-code or low-code tools to automate work, improve decisions, and prototype solutions without needing to engineer the underlying systems. You can also write clear requirements and partner effectively with Data, Product, and Engineering.
-
Cross-functional operator. You get work done through teams that do not report to you. You align partners around shared measures, clarify ownership, make tradeoffs visible, and keep execution moving across complex initiatives.
-
Motivated by the mission. You care about mental health and want your work to create a better experience for clinicians and more dependable access to care for patients.
