Senior Platform Engineer II
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer II with strong background in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building platform services, automation solutions, AI-enabled engineering capabilities, integrations, and operational tooling that enable secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery. You will develop production-quality solutions, while contributing to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, reliability engineering, and developer productivity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, and operate platform automation, internal engineering tools, and platform services. Build production-quality services, APIs, workflows, and integrations using Python. Develop integrations with cloud platforms, security tools, GitHub, Jira, and other enterprise systems. Build automation for operational processes, infrastructure management, workflow orchestration, and developer enablement. Build AI-enabled capabilities for code analysis, workflow automation, vulnerability remediation, and engineering productivity. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related automation frameworks. Design and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Apply SRE practices including observability, incident response, SLIs, SLOs, and root cause analysis. Troubleshoot issues across applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform services. Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, and operational efficiency through automation and engineering best practices.
Key Requirements
8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles. Strong hands-on programming experience, preferably with Python. Experience designing and building production services, automation frameworks, APIs, developer tools, or platform solutions. Strong understanding of software design, debugging, error handling, and maintainable code. Experience integrating systems using REST APIs, webhooks, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, or workflow automation. Experience with Git, pull-request workflows, code reviews, and modern software development practices. Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and integrating AI capabilities into applications or automation workflows. Experience with AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform. Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI. Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, cloud infrastructure, networking, production systems, and SRE practices including monitoring, alerting, incident response, SLIs, and SLOs.
Nice to Have
Experience with vulnerability management or security automation platforms such as Snyk, StackHawk, Orca, or similar tools. Experience building AI-powered engineering solutions, intelligent automation platforms, or AI-assisted developer tools. Experience building internal developer platforms and self-service engineering capabilities. Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architectures. Familiarity with policy-as-code, compliance automation, and governance frameworks. Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
