Key Responsibilities Quality Engineering & Test Strategy • Understand business requirements, existing legacy application behavior, and the target modernized architecture. • Develop comprehensive test strategies covering functional, integration, API, end-to-end, regression, and data validation. • Identify critical business journeys and create risk-based testing approaches. • Ensure functional parity between the legacy and modernized applications. • Define traceability between business requirements, test scenarios, test cases, automation, and defects. • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, architects, and DevOps teams.
Functional & End-to-End Testing • Design and execute functional test scenarios for applications built using Angular and .NET. • Validate complex end-to-end business workflows across multiple applications and integrations. • Perform system integration testing across APIs, applications, databases, third-party platforms, and downstream systems. • Design regression suites based on business criticality and change impact. • Identify opportunities for automation and continuous regression. API & Integration Testing • Perform functional and integration testing of REST APIs and backend services. • Validate API contracts, request/response structures, business rules, authentication, error handling, and downstream integrations. • Build automated API validation suites using appropriate tools and frameworks. • Validate integration flows across AWS services and enterprise systems. Database Migration & ETL Testing • Validate migration of data from SQL Server to PostgreSQL. • Perform source-to-target data reconciliation and transformation validation. • Validate: o Record counts and completeness o Data accuracy and integrity o Data types and schema mappings o Transformation rules o Referential integrity o Duplicate and missing records o Null handling o Stored procedures and database logic o Historical and incremental data loads
• Write complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation. • Identify data anomalies introduced during migration or transformation. • Develop reusable automated data validation and reconciliation utilities.
AI-Led Quality Engineering • Use GenAI and AI-enabled QE tools to accelerate: o Requirement analysis o Test scenario generation o Test case creation o Test data generation o Change-impact analysis o Regression optimization o Automation development o Defect analysis and root cause identification • Apply a human-in-the-loop approach to validate AI-generated testing artifacts. • Explore opportunities for intelligent test selection and risk-based regression. • Contribute to building repeatable AI-led QE patterns and accelerators for the modernization program.
Automation & Continuous Quality • Develop and maintain UI and API automation frameworks. • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. • Improve regression coverage and reduce manual testing dependency. • Collaborate with development teams to enable quality earlier in the SDLC. • Analyze automation failures and continuously improve framework stability. Required Skills • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering. • Strong experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. • Strong understanding of modern web application architectures. • Experience testing applications built using: o Angular o .NET / .NET Core o REST APIs • Strong API testing experience using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Playwright, or equivalent. • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases. • Hands-on experience in database migration, ETL testing, and source-to-target data validation. • Experience working with SQL Server and PostgreSQL. • Experience with test automation frameworks such as: o Playwright o Selenium o Cypress o Karate o Rest Assured • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing. • Experience working in Agile delivery models. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills • Experience testing applications hosted on AWS. • Understanding of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and related services. • Experience in legacy application modernization programs. • Experience validating application and data parity during platform migration. • Exposure to GenAI, AI-powered testing tools, or Agentic AI for Quality Engineering. • Experience with AI-assisted coding and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar platforms. • Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or CloudWatch. • Understanding of performance, security, accessibility, and resilience testing concepts. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who can go beyond executing predefined test cases. The ideal candidate should be able to understand the architecture and business processes, identify quality risks proactively, challenge requirements, design intelligent test coverage, leverage automation and AI, and take end-to-end ownership of quality for the modernization journey.
