AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, YOU'LL BE A TECHNICAL LEADER ON THE TEAM — OWNING THE DESIGN AND DELIVERY OF COMPLEX, HIGH-SCALE BACKEND SERVICES AND INTEGRATIONS THAT POWER MULTI-CHANNEL ECOMMERCE. YOU'LL SET ARCHITECTURAL DIRECTION, TAKE ON OUR HARDEST PROBLEMS, AND MENTOR OTHER ENGINEERS, ALL WHILE STAYING HANDS-ON IN THE CODE. How you will achieve success:

• Lead the design and architecture of complex, high-scale services and integrations, from concept to production.
• Drive technical direction and make the key architectural decisions that shape the team's roadmap.
• Mentor and guide engineers, and raise the bar through thoughtful design and code reviews.
• Own ambiguous, high-impact problems end-to-end — breaking them down and driving them to delivery.
• Champion reliability, observability, automation, and operational excellence.
• Partner closely with Product, Data, Infrastructure, and other engineering teams.
• Stay hands-on: write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code.

What experiences will help you in this role:

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Deep system design and distributed systems expertise — you've designed and owned systems at scale.
• A track record of technical leadership: mentoring engineers, influencing architecture, and setting engineering standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a strong sense of ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Strong with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure), microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Nice-to-have: experience with high-throughput or marketplace/ecommerce systems.
