Role Overview
We are looking for a Sigma BI Developer to build accurate, intuitive, and user-friendly business intelligence workbooks and dashboards using Sigma Computing and Snowflake.
The role will work closely with the Sigma BI Lead, Data Platform, Governance, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver persona-aligned dashboards across areas such as Underwriting, Risk, Treasury, Finance, Sales/Growth, and Operations.
The developer will primarily consume certified Snowflake BI Thin Views, Consumer Serving Models, and approved semantic metrics to build governed analytics experiences. The role will also support the controlled migration of existing Tableau dashboards to Sigma while ensuring KPI definitions and business logic remain consistent with approved sources.
Key Responsibilities

Build, enhance, and maintain Sigma workbooks and interactive dashboards for various business and operational personas.

Develop dashboards using certified Snowflake Consumer Serving Models, BI Thin Views, and approved semantic metrics provided by the Data Platform team.

Create interactive dashboard elements including:

Filters and controls
-
Drill-downs and drill paths
-
Tables and pivots
-
Charts and visualizations
-
Conditional formatting
-
Navigation
-
Approved exports and schedules
-

Translate business and functional requirements into intuitive, persona-oriented dashboard experiences.

Follow established workspace, folder, naming, publishing, sharing, and access-control standards.

Implement persona-based access, row-level security, column-level security, and other governance requirements as defined by the BI and Governance teams.

Support the migration of assigned Tableau dashboards to Sigma Computing.
-
Reconcile migrated dashboards against approved Tableau outputs by validating:

Data grain

Filters
-
Aggregations
-
Totals
-
KPI outputs
-
Business logic
-

Ensure that no new or unapproved KPI logic is introduced within Sigma workbooks.

Perform functional, data, usability, and basic performance testing of dashboards before release.

Investigate and resolve dashboard defects in collaboration with Data Engineering, QA, business stakeholders, and the BI Lead.

Validate dashboard numbers and outputs with relevant business stakeholders and document reconciliation results.
-
Maintain dashboard documentation, release notes, user guides, and certification evidence.
-
Create reusable dashboard components and follow consistent visualization and design standards across the BI portfolio.

Support dashboard demonstrations, user training, adoption activities, and feedback collection.

Collaborate with governance and data platform teams to ensure adherence to established BI standards and certified data sources.

Participate in Agile development activities, including requirement discussions, task tracking, reviews, and release coordination.
Technical Responsibilities

Develop production-ready Sigma workbooks using Sigma Computing.

Work extensively with Snowflake and SQL for querying and validating governed datasets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in BI / Analytics Development.
-
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Sigma Computing, or demonstrable experience delivering Sigma-based BI projects.
-
2+ years of experience working with Snowflake and SQL.
-
Strong understanding of SQL, joins, aggregations, dimensional models, and data validation.
-
Hands-on experience building interactive operational or executive dashboards.
-
Strong understanding of BI visualization and dashboard design principles.
-
Ability to convert business requirements into clear, intuitive, and usable dashboard experiences.
-
Experience working with governed datasets, certified views, or semantic models.
-
Ability to validate data accuracy and reconcile dashboard results with source or legacy reports.
-
Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to testing and defect resolution.
-
Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or similar documentation and collaboration tools.

Experience with Tableau, particularly Tableau-to-Sigma migration projects.

Experience in financial services, lending, underwriting, risk, treasury, or finance analytics.

Familiarity with dbt and semantic-layer concepts.

Experience with BI governance, data certification, and access-control frameworks.

Experience with Snowflake query and dashboard performance optimization.

Sigma Computing certification.

Experience working with enterprise BI modernization or dashboard migration initiatives.
