Social Video, Jr. Creative Strategist
Full-Time | Remote, US | $75K–$95K USD
Company Overview
We're scaling the best YouTube agency in the world.
We've assembled a crazy-talented group of YouTube strategists and creative minds who've collectively generated over 110 billion views and shaped how YouTube works today. Our founder, Ryan Hashemi, spent seven years building Jubilee Media into a 14-million-subscriber, 5-billion-view powerhouse with four Emmy nominations, and trained the person who now runs MrBeast's studio.

Now we're helping the world's biggest brands crack the code on YouTube and make content that people actually want to watch at scale.
We lead YouTube creative and content programming as a strategic channel. We staff and train in-house YouTube teams for clients, hiring video producers, editors, and strategists, and build long-form and short-form storytelling systems designed to compound over time. The result: content that earns millions of views, builds loyal audiences, and drives conversions.
How We Hire
We don't screen for pedigree or platform experience. We evaluate individual superpowers, high agency, curiosity, learning velocity, and the ability to do exceptional work.
Our team includes SVP-level Condé Nast alumni working alongside self-taught YouTube strategists. We've got a flat culture and believe a good idea can come from anywhere.
For this role specifically, we're less interested in whether you've already held the title "Creative Strategist" and more interested in how quickly you learn, how deeply you think about content, and whether you're the kind of person who sees something that needs to get done and makes it happen.
The Role
We're looking for a highly curious, organized, and creatively driven Short-Form Creative Strategist to help us scale the short-form content we create for some of the world's biggest brands.
This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is obsessed with content, audience attention, and understanding why people watch what they watch.
You'll initially focus heavily on turning long-form YouTube content into strategically optimized short-form cutdowns. You'll learn how to identify the strongest moments from a long-form video, translate those moments into clear creative briefs, work with editors through revisions, and optimize each piece specifically for short-form platforms.
The goal is not for you to stay there forever.
As you master our approach, you'll take increasing ownership of client work and expand into original short-form strategy, creative research, content ideation, and broader channel strategy.
We're looking for someone we can teach aggressively, give meaningful ownership to quickly, and grow into an exceptional creative strategist.
What You'll Own
Short-Form & Cutdown Strategy
-
Watch and analyze long-form YouTube content to identify the strongest opportunities for short-form cutdowns
-
Determine which moments, narratives, hooks, and ideas are most likely to earn attention in a short-form environment
-
Turn those opportunities into clear, actionable creative briefs for editors
-
Provide direction around structure, hooks, pacing, storytelling, framing, and short-form optimization
-
Review editor cuts and give thoughtful, specific feedback through multiple rounds of revisions
-
Own cutdowns from initial concept through near-final approval
-
Develop enough strategic judgment over time to independently run the cutdown process for individual clients
Creative Research & Strategy
-
Research short-form trends, formats, creators, competitors, and emerging audience behaviors
-
Source relevant examples and references to inspire client work
-
Study why certain pieces of content earn attention and translate those insights into actionable creative decisions
-
Support the development of original short-form content strategies
-
Contribute ideas for how brands can grow attention organically across social platforms
-
Gradually take on broader creative strategy and original content development as you grow in the role
Content Ownership & Execution
-
Manage your assignments and creative workflows in Asana
-
Coordinate with editors and creators to keep work moving
-
Track deliverables, timelines, revisions, and outstanding feedback
-
Follow up proactively when something is at risk of slipping
-
Make sure briefs, edits, feedback, and final deliverables are organized and accounted for
-
Take ownership of the work rather than waiting for someone else to tell you what needs attention
What We're Looking For
We're much more interested in how your brain works than how many years you've been doing this.
You might be a recent graduate, someone with a year or two of agency or media experience, a creator looking to move into strategy, or someone coming from a completely different creative or analytical background.
What matters most is that you are:
-
Crazy curious. You naturally ask why something works, why people pay attention, why one intro performs better than another, or why an audience behaves the way it does.
-
A fast learner. You can absorb a new framework, apply feedback quickly
