micro1 is selecting Subject Matter Expert – Medicine & Biostatistics Chart Analysis professionals to contribute advanced domain insights to a customer's project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Interpret complex medical and biostatistical charts, including Kaplan-Meier curves, forest plots, ROC curves, hazard-ratio plots, and similar clinical or epidemiological visualizations, with professional accuracy.
- Draft clear, objective, and multi-step analytical questions based on intricate visual data, requiring quantitative reasoning and detailed interpretation beyond basic data extraction.
- Deliver precise, unambiguous answers accompanied by comprehensive, step-by-step explanations in expert-level written English, outlining calculations, statistical inferences, or clinical judgment.
- Apply domain-specific medical and biostatistical terminology, ensuring accurate reference to units, scales, confidence intervals, p-values, and annotations across all deliverables.
- Design reasoning tasks that emphasize graphical interpretation, comparisons, calculations, trend analysis, and data interpolation, while strictly avoiding subjective or ambiguous phrasing.
- Collaborate remotely and reliably with project teams via written and verbal channels, actively incorporating feedback and upholding consistent, high-quality communication.
- Produce verifiable reasoning assignments that directly support training and evaluation use cases for advanced AI models.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree (MD, MPH, PhD, or equivalent) in Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a closely related quantitative or clinical field.
- Two or more years of professional, academic, or research experience interpreting clinical trial data, survival analyses, or epidemiological visualizations.
- Demonstrated advanced skill with axes, legends, units, scales, confidence intervals, and statistical annotations in medical charts (e.g., Kaplan-Meier, forest, ROC curves).
- Proven ability to clearly articulate analytical processes and provide clinical or biostatistical reasoning in high-quality written and spoken English.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and, ideally, a second language relevant to medical or research practice.
- Experience in technical documentation, scientific publishing, assessment or analytical task development, or structured data annotation for clinical, research, or AI-focused projects.
- Background in producing benchmark questions, technical reports, or data annotation tasks for medical, clinical research, or AI model development engagements.
