Scope of Position
The Senior Vice President (SVP), Sales is responsible for leading Cisive's sales organization and driving revenue growth across all products, services, and market segments. This executive leader develops and executes sales strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives while building a high-performing, customer-focused sales culture. The SVP, Sales will oversee new business acquisition, strategic account growth, sales operations, forecasting, pipeline management, and talent development to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
As a key member of the leadership team, this role collaborates closely with Marketing, Client Success, Operations, Product, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment of commercial strategies, market expansion initiatives, and customer engagement efforts.
Essential Job Duties
- Develop and execute the company's overall sales strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth and market expansion.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales organization, including Regional Sales Directors, Sales Managers, Account Executives, and Business Development Representatives.
- Establish annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals and ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
- Drive new customer acquisition while supporting expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
- Develop strategic relationships with enterprise-level prospects and key industry stakeholders.
- Partner with Marketing to align lead generation, demand creation, and brand awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with Client Success and Operations teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and retention.
- Evaluate market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Create accurate sales forecasts and provide regular reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Oversee pipeline management, territory planning, account segmentation, and sales performance metrics.
- Implement and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and best practices to improve effectiveness and scalability.
- Drive adoption and utilization of CRM tools, reporting systems, and sales technologies.
- Participate in contract negotiations and support the closing of strategic opportunities.
- Build compensation plans, incentive structures, and performance management frameworks that align with business goals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
- Represent Cisive at industry events, conferences, client meetings, and executive-level engagements.
- Provide leadership and support for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic growth initiatives as needed.
- Develop succession plans and leadership development programs within the sales organization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
Education & Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field required.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive sales leadership experience, including experience leading enterprise sales organizations.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing senior sales leaders and multi-level teams.
- Proven record of achieving and exceeding revenue growth objectives within a B2B environment.
- Experience selling complex solutions, technology-enabled services, SaaS, HR technology, background screening, risk management, compliance, or related solutions preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and sales planning.
- Extensive experience utilizing CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, process improvement, and sales effectiveness initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to support clients, prospects, conferences, and team meetings.

Working Conditions
This role operates in a professional office or remote environment and requires frequent use of computers, communication technologies, and virtual collaboration tools. Travel may be required for client meetings, conferences, and internal leadership events.
