Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- This position plays a critical role in identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent for our organization. The Senior Recruiter is responsible for creating, leading and executing the end-to-end recruitment process, including the development and maintenance of excellent relationships with hiring managers, business partners and candidates. Responsibilities encompass all phases of the recruiting and selection process including business unit support, recruitment strategies, sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified candidates job offers with a focus on diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the entire recruiting process for positions within assigned business unit or corporate business advisory area.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing need and develop effective recruitment strategies for respective corporate area or line(s) of business.
- Conducts thorough job specifications with hiring manager to determine needs of the position. Recruiter is expected to have an understanding of the respective line of business as well as each position so to effectively present the opportunity to active and/or passive candidates. Reviews job descriptions to ensure appropriate information is included for advertisement, internet postings, and targeted job boards.
- Adheres to aggressive recruiting pace designed to shorten days to fill the requisition.
- Using iCIMS, advertises vacancies, and identifies potential qualified job candidates for a wide variety of jobs at V2X.
- Searches for job candidates using iCIMS and additional recruiting sources such as job boards and databases, internet recruiting resources, networking, job fairs, social media advertisements, or employee referrals.
- Drives the entire recruiting process by engaging candidates through interviews via phone and in person.
- Activities involved in external and internal selection include:
- Screens, interviews, and assesses qualified applicants and refers them to hiring managers. Provides initial screening to assess applicant's relevant knowledge, job skills, education, experience, and aptitudes, and informs them of the position’s duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and working conditions.
- Coordinates, schedules, and arranges manager interviews.
- Compiles interview results. Ensures interview feedback is recorded and appropriate, and when not, work with hiring managers to correct.
- Notification to applicants concerning their select/not-select status.
- Negotiates and extends employment offers. Participates in offer negotiations between candidate and hiring managers.
- Walks candidates through the full life-cycle recruitment process, including on-boarding, to ensure quick and effective hiring.
- Coordinates background checks, employment verification, Visa process, and reference checks, clearance status of potential candidates.
- Coordinates and schedules pre-employment physical exams/mental health exams/drug screens as may be required.
- Prepares new hires and managers for start.
- Maintains all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system timely and accurately. Ensures documentation of recruiting/applicant process is complete and in compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws, and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Recruits for multiple openings concurrently for respective corporate area or line(s) of business.
- Maintains a strong relationship with candidates to include reviewing all internal applications within a minimum of three business days.
- Communicates regularly with hiring managers to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads. Maintains a strong customer service rating with internal customers to include conducting hiring strategies on all newly posted positions.
- Effectively utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS) to develop and maintain a network of potential candidates to build a talent pipeline for hard or unusual positions , including creating a tagging structure, dynamic lists, and nurture campaigns. Proactively source, identify, and attract qualified candidates through various channels, such as job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals.
- Coordinates and participates in Job Fairs, Transition Seminars, and other recruiting activities throughout the U.S. and, occasionally in overseas locations.
- Participates and identifies areas for process improvement and implement enhancements to streamline recruitment procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.
- Mentor recruiters and recruiting coordinators on all aspects of the recruiting life cycle.
- Provide consultation and training to departments regarding all facets of the hiring process, including interviewing, selection, and diversity.
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
- Experience:
- Minimum of six (6) years' related experience in end-to-end high volume lifecycle recruiting.
- Proven experience in creative sourcing strategies, including diversity sourcing and outreach.
- U.S. federal government contracting recruiting experience or equivalent high‑volume staffing agency experience.
- Other Requirements:
- May travel up to 20% for extended periods of time to support far-reaching domestic and international recruiting activities.

- Ability to use data and metrics to inform effective recruiting strategies.
- Business/Human Resources Acumen:
- Thorough understanding of recruiting methods including sourcing and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Experienced in using web based applicant tracking recruitment tools.
- Demonstrate the highest degree of safeguarding confidential, business, and employee data. Must maintain sensitivity and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, Teams, and Adobe technology; able to successfully operate laptop and standard office equipment. Must possess technical skills in Word and Excel.
- Business Partner/Effective Communication:

- The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
- USD $ 85,000 - 110,000
- Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
