The Learning Resource Center of Polk County (LRC), a respected nonprofit United Way partner serving the community for over 51 years, is seeking motivated, talented, and passionate tutors who are committed to helping students achieve academic success and reach their full potential.

LRC provides personalized educational support to students ages 5 through adulthood in a wide range of subject areas, including:

• Reading and Math Intervention
• Elementary, Middle, High School, and College Subjects
• Test Preparation
• Study Skills and Time Management
• Career Certification and Credential Support

Immediate Need

Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Tutors are especially encouraged to apply.

Flexible Tutoring Opportunities

Tutoring sessions may be conducted:

• In schools
• After school programs
• Virtually (online)
• Public locations and community settings
• Evenings and weekends

Many tutoring assignments offer flexible scheduling, allowing tutors and families to coordinate times that work best for everyone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Associate degree in Education or a related field considered
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to complete monthly documentation and progress reports
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus

Compensation

Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and certifications.
