Why this role

Veradigm is looking for a Zuora architect to own how we quote, bill and collect. That covers the full flow from Salesforce CPQ to Zuora Billing to Kantata, our Professional Services platform. This isn't a maintenance role, and it isn't a design-only role. You'll decide how the pieces fit together and then build them yourself.

• You own the architecture, and you build it. Catalog design, billing models, Workflows and integrations are your decisions, and you'll do the hands-on work to deliver them.
• There's real modernization ahead. You'll rebuild the product catalog, consolidate multiple Zuora tenants into one, and help shape a possible move from Salesforce CPQ to Revenue Cloud.
• You'll teach by doing. You'll work side by side with our Zuora administrators and help them grow, alongside Salesforce CPQ specialists and engineers on Boomi, Kantata and Workday.
• Leadership sees the work. Billing accuracy affects revenue, so this work gets reported up and funded.

What you'll do

• Design and build the Zuora product catalog: Products, Rate Plans, Charges and Amendments
• Write and maintain Zuora Workflows, API calls and scripts yourself, including orchestration, error handling, retry logic and monitoring
• Own the end-to-end quote-to-cash flow from Salesforce CPQ through Zuora Orders, working directly with the Salesforce and integration teams
• Configure billing for subscription, usage-based and milestone models across the full subscription lifecycle: new sales, amendments, renewals and cancellations
• Own the Zuora–Kantata integration for Professional Services billing
• Troubleshoot and fix production billing issues directly
• Mentor Zuora administrators through pairing, code and configuration reviews, and runbooks they can use on their own

What you bring

Required:

• 8+ years in billing or quote-to-cash systems, including 5+ years hands-on with Zuora Billing: Orders, Workflows and the API
• Served as the lead architect on at least two end-to-end Zuora implementations or major redesigns, owning the design from requirements through go-live
• Still hands-on today. You configure the tenant, build Workflows and work with the API yourself. You don't hand designs off to someone else to build
• Deep command of the Zuora data model and product catalog design, including complex pricing across subscription, usage and milestone models
• Experience architecting for enterprise scale and complexity, such as multiple entities, high billing volumes or multi-tenant environments
• A track record of teaching others: you've made the people around you better at Zuora, not dependent on you
• Able to turn Finance, RevOps and Sales requirements into sound designs, and to explain the trade-offs clearly to both technical and business leaders

Big pluses, but we'll teach you the rest:

• Building or maintaining a Salesforce CPQ → Zuora integration. This is the one we'd most like to see. If you haven't done it, experience with any CPQ platform, such as Zuora CPQ or Salesforce Revenue Cloud, also counts.
• Integration middleware such as Boomi or MuleSoft
• Kantata or another professional services (PSA) tool
• Zuora Revenue
• Zuora Billing Certified Consultant or Zuora Billing Delivery Architect certification

Compensation Range:

$130,241-$189,502
